Good old honest business is the future of advertising PDF Print E-mail

I think it is note worthy when an organization that is living by "promoting the values of agencies", IPA, writes: "prepare for a consumer led world or face decline" - as their projection for the advertising future. Read the full story here and you can buy their full report "Social Media Futures - The future of advertising and agencies in a networked society" the same place.

Again yet another indicator that the business of advertising must take a different stand, find new models and engage in the social media sphere if they want to thrive. It is probably not as simple as I put it here, but it is encouraging that companies to succeed must do what always have been the ultimate way of doing business - engage in dialogue with your clients, learn their needs and how you can help them it is so much more fullfilling than screaming "Buy my product" - even though some actually do!

Understanding your customers, delivering quality services, continously providing value and be their for them - good old honest business - thats the future of marketing.
