Social Modules

Social Modules are used to create applications fast or to keep current app's ever changing and up to date. The modules may be applied on several social networking platforms and in our products. Each module is explained below and the applicable platforms and apps are highlighted.

Chat/IM
The module provides full instant messaging and chat room facilities integrated with your social network of choice. Everybody is present on the chat/IM tools with their name and profile picture of the social network. We can also make this work x-platform, so that a for instance a Facebook user may have a chat with a twitter-user each logged in via their separate networks.
Comment
The module integrates facebook comments directly in your Facebook website, tab or application. This module is platform dependent and is not supported on other platforms.
Idea Mgt
The module implements idea management, like the well-known "Dell Idea Storm". Users may suggest ideas and other users may vote up or down and the brand may comment and change status (Accepted, Planned, Implemented snd Rejected) on each idea.
Integrate
The module supports 3rd party integration. As an example a flash-based interactive movie may be plugged in to the cms. The cms provides parameters (user, session, ..) from the surrounding social network and provides api for the flash to use, when interacting with the networks. Your flash developer of choice does thereby not need how to code for Facebook or other networks.
Like
This module is platform dependent and implements Facebook's Like social plug-in. The module is available for web pages, Facebook tab and applications.
Mail
This module enables the brand to communicate with its users via mail on the networks that allow retrieving the user's mail-address after being granted the appropriate permissions.
Media
This module provides support for sound, movies and photos in your apps, tabs and your publishing needs.
Monitor
This module is only supported on Facebook and allows administrators of Facebook pages to monitor and manage the activity on their pages. The module retrieves the stream for you at a single point and allows you to save posts for later handling.
Photo
Provides facilities for users to upload their photos to your facebook page and provides listing and voting facilities. This module may be used as a photo competition.
Points
This module is a comprehensive and versatile tracking and points system. Every possible action in the app may be tracked and assigned points. These points may be made transparent to the users or used for the brands internal analysis of user behavior. The point system may be changed on the fly in order to favor new actions.
Poll
Provides support for polls. There a two ways to incorporate polls in your app. You can have a named poll, which is a single poll and once it is answered it will not be displayed anymore. You can also display a component, where the next available poll will be shown.
Product
The product module resembles a product catalog including various components for displaying a single or a list of products. The social part of this module allows users to rate and review products.
Publish
The publish module allows the user to publish anything possible to post on a Facebook wall (text w/o attachments like link, photo, sound, video or flash) to all or a subset of the Facebook pages that you administer. The module allows you to assign criteria and values to the pages and publish based on these criteria.
Quiz
A carefully thought out quiz may really engage users. Design a series of questions w/o photos and design your results based on combinations of these answers.
Report
The reporting module enables production of reports based on any data collected. This is great for weekly or monthly overviews, but for real data analyses we suggest use of the business intelligence module. The various social networks have different terms for saving data about users. We can of cause only provide what the networks allow.
Share
The module provides x-platform possibility for sharing using the networks status updates. You may share any data within the application or tab. However the module provides extensive support for sharing on Facebook, as preconfigured wall post templates may be designed for elements in the cms, like products, ideas, media, x-platform stream and more.
Tab
This module allows you to design your own Tab for your Facebook pages. You can even create templates that may be used on several pages, but where the content is individualized. We can also pull in data from external systems, so that individual Tabs may be fully automated. The only thing you have to do is assign to the page.
Target
Any content in the CMS may be targeted based on the users social profile or tracked behavior. As a highly hypothetical example the cms user may decide only to show certain content for males over 45, who have answered a certain way in a specific poll and has collected over 100000 points. All fully configurable.
Vote
This module handles voting on some content. Users may only vote once. Periods for open voting (results revealed), closed voting (results secret), stopped voting (result still secret. no voting) and results shown (no voting).
X-Stream
The module provides a x-platform stream. Entries to the app's stream may come from any of the networks where the app is hosted. So a Facebook user may have discussions with Ning and Hyves users without having to change network.
